Call of Duty Warzone Cheaters punished, new modes and everything else you need to know

Just like the games, Fortnite and Apex Legends, in Call of Duty: Warzone, players have to compete against other players to survive till the end. However, Warzone has made some very interesting changes to the Battle Royale formula.

For cheaters who continue to abuse other players, developer Infinity Ward has laid out more punishments. They tweeted on Tuesday, saying suspected cheaters will be separated from other players. They will compete against each other in game. The Infinity Ward also added that those who reported the cheaters will be notified once the reported player is banned.

The free Battle Royale mode is accessible to anyone on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It has been reported that 50 million players have jumped into Warzone in its first month. Unfortunately, with such popular games, there are always cheaters who ruin the fun.

According to the official Call of Duty website on March 31, since the game’s launch, Activision and Infinity Ward have banned 50 000 cheaters from the game. This consisted of players who had used aimbots i.e. programs that allow one to shoot impossible shots and wall hacks that allow some shoot through walls. There are plans to improve the game’s reporting system to make it flawless.

When did Warzone launch?

Warzone was available to those who own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. They were able to download the update at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET on March 10. However, if the update does not start, it is advised that players reset their consoles or close and reopen Battle.net.

On the other hand, those who did not own a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare were able to download the game after 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET on March 10. They also need to have a much bigger downloadable space of 80GB to 100GB. Non-owners can unlock content which can be used in Modern Warfare’s multiplayer if they decide to purchase the game in the future.

While PC players require a Battle.net account to play, Xbox players need an Xbox Live subscription. PS4 owners are lucky because they do not need a PS Plus subscription, and they will be given a special Warzone Combat Pack via the PSN Store. This pack consists of an operator skin, weapon blueprint, double XP token, calling card, weapon charm and in-game watch. Players will compete against people on all three platforms because Warzone features crossplay.

How does the Battle Royale mode works?

Each map includes 150 players who are put in squads of three, four or solo. Warzone website showed a Duos mode but according to Call of Duty fan site Charlie Intel, it was removed on April 8. Players will jump out of a plane and land anywhere on the enormous map of Verdansk armed with a handgun. When they land, they will have to look for weapons to fight off the rest of the players in the game.

To indicate the safe area within a map, a circle will appear and will decrease in size over time. In the unsafe area, there would be a green gas that will deplete the player’s health as time passes. To keep themselves safe, players can look for a gas mask, but that only lasts for a short time. The team or players that are able to win by surviving till the end will receive their own cinematic ending and a Memoriam list of participants in the match.

There are five vehicles for travelling including, ATVs, SUVs, cargo trucks, tactical rovers and helicopters. Each varies according to how many people they can carry, how fast they can travel and how much armour they’re equipped with. Across the map, weapons, armour and attachments can be discovered.

How does Gulag works?

In Warzone, players who are killed are not eliminated from the match. Instead, once a player is killed, they will find themselves in a gulag where they will have to do a one on one match against another player to see who could have a second chance in the match. Solo mode players will be unable to rejoin the match once they have been defeated in a gulag. However, those playing in squads will have to wait for their squadmates to buy a redeployment for them.

What are contracts?

Tasks available during matches are called contracts. Only one is active at one time. They range from opening a certain number of supply boxes to defending a location. When they are completed, players will receive money, loot and special abilities such as being able to see where the circle will move to next on the map.

Where can I use the money for?

Money can be spent at buy stations which are distinguished by shopping cart icon and can be found all over the map. It can be spent to buy redeploy tokens to bring their squadmates back to life, self-revive kits and killstreaks. These are special actions giving players a temporary upgrade or a tactical weapon to eliminate multiple enemies.

What’s Plunder?

Plunder is another mode included in Warzone. In this mode, the player’s objective is to gain the money. Squads work together to complete contracts or take out other players to earn money. But Station in plunder will have more features such as securing some funds as the match progresses.
